The results are in! I secretly wanted to come up with a cool way to announce the gender, but then I realized I am not that cool. Plus Orion is gone most of the day and when he gets home he has zero desire to do anything but eat, shower, do work stuff, and then sleep. Thank goodness he will be done with training in a couple of weeks! I am going crazy over here!

Any way back to the results..... Drum roll please!

It's a

GIRL!

(Orion is still holding out hope for a boy. The baby did not want to really show off their goods at the ultra sound. So we are having another one in April. It kept its little bottom shoved way down low, which did not feel so lovely. What a stubborn little child I have growing inside of me. No matter we are happy to have a healthy baby coming in July!)

Tomorrow

I can't wait for it to be tomorrow so I can know if I am having a boy or girl! Honestly today seems to be dragging on!

Being pregnant can be a little difficult. Orion is very protective of me, which makes my life a little difficult. He is always telling me to take it easy and not do much. I feel like I am made of glass at the moment. He has been working on running more and getting into better shape. I of course want to help him with this goal and I need to be in better shape as well. He decided that he was going to go running more often and that I should come with him. Except that he runs and I walk. He runs up the street and then back to where I am. It is not my favorite, but I know that he is coming from a good place.

Happy Love Day!

Since getting married I have loved Valentine's Day. Before I got married I looked forward to the day with dread. Who wants to have a day where they are constantly reminded that they don't have anyone special in their lives? Not me, but thankfully I don't have that problem any more. My heart goes out to those who don't like Valentine's Day because it is actually a very fun day.

Orion and I celebrated over the weekend because he is super busy with training at work. He spends about 12 hours a day either traveling or training. So when he gets home he is pretty tired and not really in the mood to celebrate. Plus he has to prepare for the next day which usually takes up all the time before he needs to go to bed. BORING if you ask me, but it means we are making some more money and that is fine by me. After sending me to our room Orion made me a Valentine card like he does every year.
This year he decided to go pirate themed. It says "Yarghhh! I'm a PIRATE! And I'm looking for booty. I've sailed the 5 seas. (He said that on purpose because pirates are not very smart) I stolen, plundered, and pillaged. I have seen many a woman. But....."

"At the end of Pirating you're still my greatest treasure. Happy Valentine's Day"

He has gotten much better at making cards. I love that he puts forth so much effort to make me a card every year. I have a journal that I keep them in, so I can look back on them for time to time. So far I have three. I can't wait for the day where I need to put the cards in a box because I have so many.

I of course got some flowers, chocolate, and sugar cookies!

I am one lucky lady!

For his present I ordered a mug with our pictures on it. He loves hot chocolate so I figured he should have a special mug just for him.
Then I filled the mug with paper fortune cookies I made him, filled with personal fortunes. ;)
This is our last Valentine's Day where we only have one Valentine. Next year we will get to share our love day with a little one! I am so excited for that.

THE MAIL!

Have I mentioned how much I love the mail? For some reason I just love checking the mail. It is even better when I actually get something in the mail. I love getting letters and post cards. In fact I collect post cards. Whenever a friend goes some where I ask them to bring me a postcard back or mail me one. I have a huge pile of them sitting in a drawer. Anyway, back to while I particularly love the mail this past weekend.
I got my diploma! It's official I am a graduate! I would take a picture with me holding it, but I am kind of horrible at taking pictures of myself. When I got the envelope I danced around my apartment because I was so excited. Orion had to answer the door because I had just gotten out of the shower. As soon as he shut the front door I snatched the envelope out of his hands and screamed. Four plus years, thousands of dollars, countless hours, too many tests to think about, strained eyes from looking at a computer screen for too long, and way too much spent of text books had finally paid off! The most expensive piece of paper I will ever own is now in my possession!

All I have to do now is buy a frame for it so I can keep it protected forever. So maybe I am over protective of my diploma, but it took me my entire life to get it! College was no easy walk in the park. Who knows maybe one day I will have a Masters to go along with my Bachelors of Science. We will see. Until then I am currently working on the best project ever, our first child.

Jobs

Today I had my very first phone interview. It was so strange. I was nervous before hand, but oddly having an interview over the phone was very relaxing. I sat in my bed, in my comfy sweats, and talked about myself. You can ask Orion how much I love to talk. I thought it went pretty well, but we will see what happens. I should hear back in a week or two if I go on to the next round of interviews.

I feel like all I am doing is waiting to hear back from perspective jobs. My almost dream job of working with special needs children at a school is taking my entire life to get back to me. I started that project all the way back at the end of October. I filled out an employment packet and got finger printed in December and I am still waiting. I finally emailed them asking why it was taking so long. If they don't want to hire me then just say so. They said that for some reason it is taking a long time with my finger prints, like they lost them or have to check through a lot of data bases. It will take 30 business days before they can do anything about it. Sounds pretty fishy if you ask me.

So until then its just me praying for something to come up. Heck I would even take dog walker right now because I am so bored and want to make money.

What do you think?

We find out the sex of the baby at the end of the month! I am so excited! So what do you think we will have? I wanted to put up a poll thing on the side of the blog, but I don't know how to make one/find one online. My mom swears its going to be a girl, she also swore we were going to have twins. Clearly she is not batting a thousand. Orion is hoping and probably praying for a boy.
