On the nights that Orion has off he helps out with bedtime. I think Adilyn really loves these nights. Orion lets her play in the tub far more than I do. I guess it is because he is the fun one and I am the scheduled one. I suggested that Orion give Adilyn a bubble bath because she thinks those are fun. Not too minutes after the bath water is turned off I hear lots of laughter coming out of the bathroom. Then I hear Orion call my name. I found Adilyn covered in bubbles and laughing her head off.
"What are you doing here?"
Her "Mom I playing with Daddy so leave us alone" look
"If your going to be in here let me play with that!" I had to quickly leave before she snatched the camera. It was so sweet to hear her and Orion laughing and bonding. Those two are my favorite and I am lucky to have them. It was also nice to get a little break before getting her ready for bed. In Adilyn's mind she should play ALL DAY LONG! After her bath she wants to run around naked and puts up a fuss when I get her dressed. But as soon as I lay her down in bed she grabs her teddy bear and closes her eyes.
She's such a beautiful girl, KD! And I know it probably makes you sad that Adilyn likes Orion a teeny more than you, but if it makes you feel better, I am already preparing myself for our kids to like Cameron better than me. I figure it's better to face it now versus later ;)
ReplyDeleteSo true! Adilyn loves Orion so very much, except when she hurts herself or gets scared. Then she wants nothing to do with him and wants me to hold her. It makes me feel a little bit better about myself then.
